A Journey from Uncertainty to Confidence with Auscom Builders

Five years ago, we began our renovation journey with big dreams and even bigger plans. We reached out to Sandbox Studio with the hope of transforming our modest home into something more spacious, more functional—perhaps even building a brand-new house. Overflowing with ideas and ambition, we imagined a complete overhaul that would give us everything we ever wanted.

As we progressed through the early stages—design concepts, budget planning, and feasibility—we came to a realisation: what we truly needed wasn’t a grand renovation, but a modest extension that would enhance our lifestyle without overwhelming our resources. Even with the design finalised, we found ourselves torn between two paths—renovating our current home or buying a newer property in a different suburb.

It was during this period of indecision that Elias from Auscom Builders re-entered our lives. We had first met Elias during the COVID-19 pandemic, when our renovation ideas were still in their infancy. Reconnecting with him years later felt like a turning point. One of the most unexpected and appreciated things Elias did wasn’t even part of the build: he convinced our neighbor to remove a jacaranda tree that had long been a contentious issue. With no more leaves flying around the house, the finished product feels even more complete and peaceful. No other builder would want to get involved and care for the complete finished product like Elias.
